Bit of a bump, but it seems like I have just inherited the same type of oven dddp is talking about. A horrible archaic contraption that is getting the best of me. Timer control is a dial with 'manual, set, mind, stop, cook, auto' and an adjustment dial + o – you leave to – or + until set and turn back to o between adjustments.

That little flap you need to lift was a feature as well that cost me a missed dinner because I didn't know about it I've crawled over the oven to get model numbers, but nothing usable found. It an all electric built in oven / grill, but sitting loose in a cabinet, so I've been able to pull it out and see wiring diagrams, part # sales #, #s,#### and more numbers, everything but a straight out model number to get some user manuals for, anyone know where a model number is? Nothing inside the door except parts and sale numbers, nothing at all on the back and LHS, only a wiring diagram on the RHS. Anyone know where to get a user manual for this old chef oven so I can work out the timer, auto, cook etc feature dial?

Hi all, I apologise for opening up an old thread but I am having some the problem as others here. I just moved into a new house which has an electric oven and 4 hot plates (all electric) with no separate grill. Have tried looking for a model number but cannot read it off the label.

All I can read is what I think is the sales number? Which is (something like) EWOHSLZSS. I have uploaded a picture of what mine looks like. All I really want is to know what the knobs do. I have worked out which 4 operate the hotplates and where they are the hottest, but not sure what the different options are for the oven and what I think is a timer (the knob on the far left)? Any help is appreciated Chalks.

I have just moved into a apartment and it has a Electric Chef Over in the kitchen. The writing on the faceplate has rubbed off and I have no idea how to use it, what model it is and where to get a user manual.

I guess it is a 12 Year Old model as that is when my place was built. I have gone to the Chef Website and they only have manuals for current models, none of which look like this one. Does anyone know where to get a manual, or failing that what the dials do. I have attached a photo of the oven below.
