Deep Silver, developers of Dead Island and Dead Island Riptide, have revealed two new DLC packs for the upcoming Dead Island Riptide. The Survivor Pack and Fashion Victim Pack for Dead Island Riptide will be exclusively available to any players that pre-order the game. The Survivor Pack DLC includes exclusive items like the BBQ Blade. A special weapon only available with the DLC consists of an extremely sharp blade that can be hooked up to a pair of fuel tanks at any workbench-modifying station. This “BBQ Blade” can wipe out a big group of zombies giving you the upper hand in certain situations throughout the game. Players pre- ordering the game will also receive a digital strategy map giving players locations to collectibles, quests and even flags to place on the map giving them the ability to share strategies with friends. The Survivor Pack will grant players access to a shop offering special discounts on weapons and items. The Fashion Victim Pack DLC will also include exclusive outfits and looks for Dead Island Riptide. The players will have access to new outfits for the playable characters in Dead Island Riptide (Logan, Purna, Sam B., Xian Mei, and newcomer John Morgan) in co-op mode.

Fashion Victim will be available instantly in North America to any players that pre-order the game. Players that do not pre-order the game will be able to purchase The Survivor Pack individually on Xbox Live for 400 MS points and on PlayStation Network and Steam for $4.99. Fashion Victim will be available to purchase for 160 Microsoft Points and $1.99 on PlayStation Network and Steam. If it's the one I found, then there was absolutely nothing special about it. She had similar or worse items compared to the other survivor shops, but without the price reduction from doing their respective team quests. Maybe there is another NPC I haven't found there, but I've been through just about all of it.

I found a shop there labled 'Premium Items' and it was hilarious! I'm level 70 and her highest item level was like, 39. Not to mention little to nothing else 'special' about the shop. If that is the case, then I am extremely disappointed. Thank god the DLC was free for pre-ordering. I don't think it's working for me though. I think it may have something to do with the servers I probably need to restart my steam client but it still isn't working for me. I'm using the new character and it seems he is still wearing his orange suit. Does anyone know what the alternate outfit looks like for him? I have preorder items and i dont see any options to change my player skin when i pause the game i verified the game files too just incase.
